In Concert: Duncan Hill
January 18th, 2016
Weather update: Ducan Hill is a KC native and one of Austin’s up-and-coming singer/songwriters. Catch him
Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, a free show at Vinyl Renaissance & Audio.
He’s the real thing – a songwriter’s songwriter and a masterful guitarist with a refined, yet deeply soulful voice. His songs are equal parts humor, heartbreak and humanity. His new EP, TEXACALIRADO, is a distinctly original blend of folk-soul poetry accompanied by an undeniably American brand of rock ‘n’ roll
Hill is a self proclaimed son of “two bohemians with a hard ass work ethic. My dad’s a professional singer, and my mom is a published author. So you could say putting words and music together comes relatively naturally!” Pair that with a ten year resume of pro-level musicianship, an absurdly free spirit, and a relentless pursuit of good stories and you’ve got one incredibly unique artist.
