Electric Prairie Band at Communitea

December 21, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Saturday, repeating until December 21, 2019

Electric Prairie -- long-time married couple Paul Wenske and Nancy Meis -- is a popular Overland Park, KS-based musical duo. Their music features extraordinarily matched vocal harmonies, acoustic instruments and enticing song selections from the rich trove of Americana music.

Musical selections range from stomping bluegrass songs to slow soulful ballads. They have an extensive list of old time and bluegrass gospel songs. And for years, they have been invited by traditionally African American churches in Kansas City to play gospel music at musicals and festivals, an experience that has enriched their depth of understanding and enjoyment of the genre.
